In line with strengthening coordination and collaboration among the key institutions of the national skill and technology education system—particularly in the field of international cooperation—a joint meeting was held on Monday, April 21, 2025, between the Office for Scientific and International Cooperation of the University and the Education Deputy of the Technical and Vocational Training Organization of Iran.
In this meeting, Dr. Bagheri Farahani, Acting Director of the Office for Scientific and International Cooperation of the University of Applied Science and Technology, emphasized the importance of aligning executive bodies within the skill and technology education system. He noted that educational programs at various levels must be designed and implemented in a standardized and coordinated manner to effectively facilitate workforce and human resource mobility across career pathways, thereby laying the groundwork for their empowerment and professional advancement. He further stated that international accreditation of certificates and qualifications awarded in this system, through synergistic use of each party’s capacities and collaborations with institutions such as the ILO and UNESCO, would be highly impactful.
Also speaking at the meeting, Dr. Ahmadi, Deputy for Education at the Technical and Vocational Training Organization, welcomed the expansion of collaborative efforts. He explained that, under the new policies and initiatives pursued within the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare, efforts are being made to transcend a fragmented approach and achieve policy and implementation-level coordination within the framework of the Comprehensive Law on Technical, Vocational, and Skill Training. He added that a memorandum of understanding between the University of Applied Science and Technology and the Technical and Vocational Training Organization is currently being pursued, which will pave the way for broader cooperation, especially in the area of international engagement.
