Virtual Meeting between the Office of Scientific and International Cooperation of the University and the International Development Department of ISC
In line with the implementation of the memorandum of understanding between the University of Applied Science and Technology and the Islamic World Science Citation and Monitoring Institute (ISC), and to enhance the university’s international collaborations, a virtual meeting was held on Monday, June 9, 2025 (1404/3/19 in the Iranian calendar) with the participation of Dr. Bagheri Farahani, Director General of the Office of Scientific and International Cooperation of the university, and Dr. Falahati Ghadimi Foomani, Director of International Development at ISC.
During the meeting, both parties outlined their existing capacities and experiences and exchanged views on strategies to expand international interactions. Key topics of discussion included:
⦁ The necessity of designing and organizing a specific ranking system for skill-based universities,
⦁ Leveraging ISC’s capacity to introduce the university’s degree and short-term skill courses across universities in the Islamic world,
⦁ Planning to establish a regional professional competency framework at the Islamic world level,
⦁ Creating academic profiles for instructors at the University of Applied Science and Technology, similar to ISC’s “DANA” system.
