Indonesian Ambassador to Iran Visits City Center University of Applied Science in Isfahan

H.E. Ronny Prasetya Yuliantoro (Roliansah Sumirat), Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Islamic Republic of Iran, visited the City Center University of Applied Science and Technology in Isfahan. During the visit, the Ambassador closely familiarized himself with the vocational and skills-based training capacities of the center and explored potential areas for joint cooperation in skills-oriented education.

According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Applied Science and Technology, the Indonesian Ambassador was briefed on the university’s applied science education processes and students’ skill-based projects. In the meeting, Dr. Gholamreza Maleki, Acting Head of the University of Applied Science and Technology in Isfahan Province, announced that there are 500 centers of applied science education across the country and expressed the university’s full readiness to sign broad scientific, cultural, and skills-training memoranda of understanding with Indonesian educational institutions. He particularly welcomed cooperation with reputable Indonesian universities, including Hasanuddin University and the Bandung Institute of Technology.

The Indonesian Ambassador expressed satisfaction with the level of vocational training in Iran and emphasized the necessity of sharing experiences and expanding academic relations. He stated: “I hope this cooperation will especially develop in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital technologies.”

Ambassador Yuliantoro subsequently held a cordial conversation with a group of students. The participating students highlighted the role of skills training in job creation and economic growth, and underscored the importance of utilizing the joint cooperation capacities of the two countries in educational and technological fields.

This visit represents a practical step toward strengthening the linkage between universities, industry, and the international community, as well as expanding Iran’s scientific interactions with friendly countries, particularly Indonesia.
