Granting Permission for International Student Recruitment and Admission to Two Applied Science Education Centers
According to the Public Relations Office of the University of Applied Science and Technology, Dr. Bagheri Farahani announced the granting of permission for the recruitment and admission of international students to two Applied Science Education Centers. The Director of the Office of Scientific and International Cooperation at the university added that the Working Group on International Student Recruitment and Admission of the Student Affairs Organization, in its recent meeting, approved the recruitment and admission of international students at the Tehran Firefighting Applied Science Education Center and the Khuzestan Water and Electricity Industry Applied Science Education Center. Based on this permission, the aforementioned centers can admit international students in specialized disciplines related to their missions.
He stated that this achievement has been realized within the framework of the targets set in the country's Seventh Development Plan and in line with the macro policies of the regarding the internationalization of vocational education and the University of Applied Science and Technology development of scientific and cultural interactions with other countries.
Dr. Bagheri further added that, in cooperation with the university's Offices of Expansion and Supervision, centers with potential for attracting international students have been identified, and gradually, in coordination with the Student Affairs Organization, the process of obtaining recruitment and admission permits for these centers will be pursued.
He concluded by noting that the list of identified centers is not closed, and other Applied Science Education Centers, upon meeting the necessary standards for obtaining permission to recruit and admit international students, can be added to this list.
